This Week at High Meadow!

High Meadow Blog Update
July 7, 2010

Welcome to our new weekly blog on the High Meadow Day Camp website.  This is where we will keep you up to speed on the current goings on at camp each week.  We’ll also be posting camp photos, so make sure to check the blog and see if your child is featured.

The second week of camp has brought record high temperatures, and left our campers and staff running for water.  Hopefully relief will come soon.  In the meantime, to beat the heat we’ve added extra swim time to our schedule, made sure that more of our games are played in the shade, and sent campers home at the end of the day with plenty of bottled water so they stay hydrated.

I am also very excited to announce that a zip-line was recently installed at camp and will be a part of our popular adventure program.  Our trained staff will assist campers to ensure that they safely use this exciting new course.  This activity will be offered to our campers in fifth grade and above.  We’re sure it’s going to be a big hit!

As camp gets going this summer, it’s gratifying to see our campers make new friends and get reacquainted with their old friends from previous summers.  We are reminded that High Meadow is, indeed, a special place where children grow.

Dates to remember
• July 15 – Picture Day
• July 20 – Late Night (5th grades and up)
• July 22 – Parents Day
