
Michael has worked at Holiday Hill for 17 years, 4 as Executive Director and 5 as Director. Prior to HHDC, he was the director of YMCA Camp Mt. Laurel and the Hamden Green Dragon Camps for a combined 8 years.

Starting her 20th summer at High Meadow Day Camp, Jenna brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her first year as Director. From her beginnings as a camper to her roles as Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T.), Pre-K/Kindergarten Counselor for 10 years, Unit Head, and Assistant Director, Jenna has dedicated her life to fostering growth and friendships among campers. During the school year, she teaches middle school math at Granby Memorial Middle School. Jenna’s passions include line dancing, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones.

Kathleen McNary Pillsbury’s warmth and kindness are infectious, making everyone feel valued. At High Meadow Camp, she greets campers and connects with families, colleagues, and students. Kathleen treasures time with her husband, Mark, their two sons, and their energetic poodle, enjoying activities like soccer, game nights, and family adventures.
With 20 years as an independent school administrator, Kathleen has led in various schools, bringing warmth and dedication to her leadership. She holds a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from UConn, a Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed a fellowship with the National Association of Independent Schools. Kathleen is thrilled for ‘Foam Day’ at HMDC this summer!

Matt is new to High Meadow this year but brings with him a ton of experience. He was previously the Forts Director for FAST Camp at Mount Southington for the past 6 years. Matt, or “Faz” as many people often call him, loves spending time with his family, playing softball, or just enjoying life. During the year, Matt is a 5th Grade Teacher in Bloomfield. He is excited to bring some new ideas and tons of fun to High Meadow!

Korey is excited to be returning to HMDC for his 20th Summer. After being a counselor for 7 years, he is proud to step up as a member of our admin team. He looks forward to bringing lots of fun and new activities to share with the camp he loves. Outside of camp, Korey attended Animal Behavior College and became a certified dog obedience instructor. He is a positive reinforcement trainer and shares a similar philosophy while working with children. Next, he plans to finish a second certification to train service dogs and go back to school to finish a bachelor’s degree in physical education.

Sara is excited to be part of the High Meadow Summer Day Camp Admin Team as the Unit Head for grades 6-8. She has been teaching for over eighteen years and is currently the Literacy Specialist at Simsbury High School. Sara earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Masters of Teaching from Sacred Heart University. She has also earned her Sixth Year Certificate in Educational Administration and a second Master’s Degree in Special Education from Arkansas State University. Sara resides in Feeding Hills, MA and enjoys spending time with her four children (two sets of twins), three pugs, and boyfriend. Sara’s favorite spot is the beach and in her free time likes to exercise and watch her kids play sports. She is looking forward to a fun-filled summer

Tess has been a dedicated member of the Adventure Team at High Meadow for the past three years, and has recently assumed the role of Unit Head for grades 6-8. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education, which she earned in the summer of 2024. Prior to her current position, Tess gained valuable experience as a paraprofessional in a Rochester, NY school during the previous school year. This year she is working in the Granby Schools as a special education teacher. Outside of her professional pursuits, Tess enjoys being at the beach and spending quality time with her family.

This summer marks my ninth year at High Meadow Day Camp! Over the years, I have had the opportunity to serve in various roles, including Tennis Instructor, Sports Counselor, Kindergarten Counselor, and Pool Director. In 2024, I was honored to receive the Summer Staff Member of the Year award. Now, as a Unit Head, I’m most excited about the chance to support and guide our counselors in becoming role models who exemplify respect, responsibility, and friendliness.
During the school year, I am a Pre-K – 6th grade physical education teacher at Old Mill Pond Elementary School in Palmer, MA, where I have been teaching for four years. In my free time, I love playing tennis, golf, and soccer, as well as going on hikes with my lovely wife. I can’t wait for another amazing and magical summer at High Meadow!

Eugenia McGovern will be returning for her third year in the medical office at High Meadow Day Camp. Eugenia is a certified EMT and an Educator in the Windsor Public Schools. She lives in East Granby with her two daughters, ages 17 and 20. In her spare time she enjoys the beach, sports and her pets. “I am looking forward to another fun summer, seeing the kids and enjoying the camp experience.”

Megan is currently an RN at Baystate Medical Center, working on the Labor and Delivery unit. She graduated Elms College in 2006 with Bachelor’s degree in Nursing/Science. This is her third year at High Meadow, but her boys have been attending HM camp for the past years. In her free time, she enjoys being with her children, going to the beach, and four wheeling. She is looking forward to seeing all the campers and enjoying the summer!
